At Cannes, Berta Film launches Berta Fear, its new label dedicated to international sales and the production of genre films, marking the debut with the selection of Little Death (with our production partner Extreme Video) at the Fantastic Round Robin of the Marché du Film’s Fantastic Pavilion and positioning itself as a hub for bold storytelling and global market connections.

With Berta Fear, we expand our vision into the world of elevated genre cinema, building a focused slate that embraces horror, thriller and boundary-pushing narratives designed for international audiences. The launch at the Cannes Film Festival marks a strategic step for Berta Film, strengthening our commitment to developing and distributing distinctive voices within the global genre landscape.
We are also proud to announce that our horror feature project Little Death has been officially selected for the 2026 Fantastic Round Robin at the Marché du Film’s Fantastic Pavilion in Cannes. The initiative showcases a curated lineup of international genre projects presented to industry professionals through a dedicated pitching forum, connecting filmmakers with producers, financiers and sales agents.
COME AND FIND US AT OUR BOOTH IN CANNES FILM MARKET, RIVIERA J1 (FANTASTIC PAVILLON)
We are actively seeking collaborations with producers and filmmakers who have projects in development or completed films looking for international distribution. Berta Fear is conceived as a platform where strong creative identities meet a clear market strategy, with the ambition to accompany films from early stages through to worldwide circulation.
At the same time, we welcome international buyers searching for fresh, compelling genre titles. Our goal is to curate a lineup that combines artistic vision with commercial potential, offering films that can travel across territories while maintaining a unique and recognizable voice.
Cannes represents the starting point of this new chapter. Berta Fear is not just a label, it is an open invitation to creators and partners who believe in the power of genre cinema to connect, provoke and endure.
